In its vineyards, Messias has tested Portuguese grape varieties and based on new winemaking technologies has selected those that produce high quality customised wines.

Due to its marketing strategy, Messias is one of the few groups, which has a full range of wine products from the best Portuguese regions and its own estates.

The most demanding foreign markets recognize the quality of Messias products. 65% of its production is exported to the five continents.

Terroir

Since 1985, Messias, already having as crucial strategy the control of the raw material for the production of high quality wines, carried out the gradual reconversion of the vineyards of Quinta do Valdoeiro, having been selected the most appropriate varieties to the strategic objectives of the company, committed to compete effectively in domestic and international markets.

Since its foundation, Messias produces and sells wines from the main demarcated regions: Bairrada, Douro, Dão, Vinho Verde and Port Wine, and is also recognized for the high quality of its sparkling wines and spirits.

The Messias is based in Mealhada and also has facilities in Gaia and farms in the regions of Bairrada - Quinta do Valdoeiro, Douro - Quinta do Cachão and Dão - Quinta do Penedo, thus holding a heritage wine-growing more than 300 hectares.

The most demanding international markets recognize the quality of Messias products, since 70% of production is exported to five continents.
