Quinta da Lagoa Velha wines are unique, unrepeatable, wines that mirror a place, a philosophy and a tradition. These wines are only marketed when they are in a perfect moment of consumption.

Highlight for the various awards with which some of our wines were distinguished, namely the Touriga Nacional 2019 rosé sparkling wine, awarded with a gold medal at the “Portugal Wine Trophy” and a silver medal at the “Concours Mondial de Bruxelles”, the wine sparkling Blanc de Noirs Baga 2017, awarded with a gold medal in the “Asia Wine Trophy”, “Berliner Wein Trophy” and “Brut Experience”.

With vineyards in the Neto Family for 3 generations, Quinta da Lagoa Velha was officially founded in 1969, acting in the production and sale of wine in bulk. In 2001, Carla Neto took over the leadership of the project and began marketing her own wines under the Quinta da Lagoa Velha brand and image.

In 2018, Quinta da Lagoa Velha has gone through a complete rebranding and relaunch. In 2020, the renovation of the winery facilities and equipment, as well as the methodology implemented, took place. Year after year, the improvement of the QLV wines is remarkable, the result of a constant innovation and refinement of its viticulture and oenology, counting with several national and international distinctions.

Always preserving its history and tradition, Quinta da Lagoa Velha seeks to establish itself as a producer of unique wines with an identity in the region of Bairrada. Driven by a young team at the heart of the company, investing in continuous development and improvement for future generations. In the heart of Bairrada, Quinta da Lagoa Velha carefully manages and harvests 13 hectares of vineyard annually. By vinifying only our own grapes, we guarantee quality from the vineyard to the wine that we carefully select for bottling. They are produced under the traditional method, obeying strict quality standards. The red wines ferment in traditional presses with minimal intervention, favouring the colour and aromatic extraction of the grape varieties themselves. In the case of white wines and the bases for sparkling wines, these are carefully vinified in stainless steel tanks with temperature control to privilege the vibrant and aromatic profiles of Bairrada wines.
